Sunset Empire Transportation District participated in the 12th annual Providence Seaside Hospital Foundation St. Nicholas Festival of Trees. The event involves groups, businesses and agencies around the county decorating a holiday tree that is then donated and auctioned, with proceeds supporting the foundation. This year's proceeds will help provide low or no cost dental care and assist in purchasing new ultra sound equipment. All monies remain on the North Coast, benefiting our families, friends and neighbors. The Stars'N'Stripes Forever Tree sold for a bid of $500. The couple who purchased the tree then donated it to the Seaside American Legion, where it is currently on display.

This package includes a live, potted Canadian Blue Spruce tree with custom, hand-crafted and painted Red, White and Blue star tree topper, four different designs and sizes of sparkling, dimensional star-shaped ornaments in the red, white and blue theme, Red, White and Blue custom-made tree skirt, glass globe ornaments with decorative red, white & blue ribbons and silver star detail inside. The tree also features decorative, wooden stars that each feature a branch of the military, as well as metal star-shaped ornaments and hand painted, sparkling star-shaped candle holders with artificial candles. The tree sparkles from top to bottom with glistening, red, silver and blue artificial foliage and Red, White and Blue clear lights.

Presents under the tree include several Red, White and Blue baskets filled with a wonderful assortment of gifts: Picnic basket with Red, White, and Blue fleece throw with satin edging, Red metal candle lantern, assorted crackers, summer sausage, several pairs of wine glasses, and three bottles of sparkling beverages. Other items include jar candles, a custom-made Red, White and Blue photo album, Belgian Chocolates, assorted candies and snacks, patriotic teddy bear and a custom-made shimmering Stars'N'Stripes wall banner.

Gift certificates and services include $15.00 at Simply Cakes, $25.00 at Cellar on 10th, $50.00 at M & N Workwear, $25.00 Starbucks gift card, $50.00 for Josephson's Smokehouse, $25.00 iTunes gift card, a 1-year Lifecare Membership from Medix Medivan Service and a 1 night stay at the Hotel Elliott.

To complete this wonderful Stars'N'Stripes package, the buyer will get special delivery to the location of their choosing, within the county, by Santa and his festive Red and Green Streetcar. Complete with donations, the tree is valued at $1,050.
