THE BUS IS HOSTING FREE RIDE DAY! Sunset Empire
Transportation is happy to announce Free Ride Day, happening all day Thursday,
November 13, 2008.
With express service, more routes to meet your
transit needs, and environmentally friendly biodiesel buses, now is the best
time for you to Ride the Bus! Staff and Board Members from the district will be
available at locations around the county to help passengers. There will be free
ticket giveaways, and an Annual Bus Pass drawing. The Eagle, radio station
103.9 FM will be broadcasting live from 1:00-4:00 in the afternoon at the
Astoria Transit Center, located at 900 Marine Drive in Astoria. The Bus will
also be accepting canned food items on the 13th to help support local food
banks. Please join us for some fun on Free Ride Day!

Passenger trains will make a summertime return to the lower Columbia River
between Portland and Astoria as part of the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial
Commemoration. Tickets for the 2004 season of the Lewis & Clark Explorer
Train go on sale Friday, April 2.
