a. Discussion of policy for placing informational flyers on buses
There was a complaint this past month from a passenger who considered one of the flyers that was placed on the buses to be a religious document. After receiving this complaint Chair Harris asked that the board discuss this issue and give staff direction on policy. Ms. Howe said that at this point there is not a written policy and that other transportation agencies allow Public Service Announcements (PSA) to be hung on the buses. Commissioner Shannon said that we need to screen what goes on the buses or we could have some legal issues. After further discussion, Ms. Howe was directed to draft a policy for the board to review at the next meeting.
